What is something [people in your industry/niche] owners have to deal with that you want to fix?

What do you do at [your company]? I help homeowner’s get their homes and lives back and walk them through a confusing and frustrating process in which they didn’t want or expect.  Having a water loss, fire or any other loss is a huge inconvenience and often times disrupts an entire family.  I enjoy helping walk my customers through the process and alleviate as much stress, confusion and frustration that the process may bring.  I encourage them and guide them and often help them with an upgrade they have been holding of on.

What are your credentials/past experience, for working in your position? I come from a family of contractors and have been in construction myself since 2003.  Recently Ive been lead certified and plan to further my certifications.

What’s your Archetype? Caregiver

What do you like about working at [your company]? I enjoy working at NWR for many reasons but mainly for the team support.  We all at NWR have a common interest and goal of helping our customers and getting them back to their day to day lives after having a loss and we help each other obtain those goals as a company.  NWR always acts with integrity and professionalism and I am proud to be a part of such a great company as I grow to become the best Estimator/Project Manager I can be.

What’s your background? I am a mother of 4 amazing children, oldest of 3 sisters and widowed mother.  Born and raised in Newport Beach, California where  I was a very outgoing and active child.  Was a dancer most my childhood and loved being on the stage.   Never afraid of anything and always up for a challenge and always had a love and passion for psychology and makeup, polar opposites.    Loved everything fashion and makeup related but had grit and edge and loved to do stuff with the guys.  Its no surprise Im in the field Im in as I come from a family of contractors.  My Great Grandfather built multiple duplex’s in the depression with his own hands and I grew up in one of the homes he built.   My father was a carpenter and hand crafted beautiful custom finishes in beautiful estates, including John Waynes’ homes in Newport Beach.   My mother also has been in the Restoration field for 18 years and has been a huge inspiration and teacher with regards to my career.    My passion and career path was Fashion and Makeup and I was working as a Bridal Consultant in 2003 when I decided to get into the construction field.  I went to work for a huge Electrical Contractor, Sasco Electric in 2003 and was in purchasing to start.  I was scouted by a Senior Project Manager who was building a team for a multi million dollar project, UCI Medical Center in Orange, California.  I was the Project Administrator for the life of the project and discovered then I loved the construction field.   After that project ended I went on to work in the Restoration field and worked for a few including Service Masters and Serve Pro.    I ended up going to work for a company my mother worked for, Extreme Clean DKI.  There I learned a tremendous amount and knew then I was in the right field.  Moved to Oregon and now work for NWR and never felt more at home.

What are the values that drive you? Honesty – Honesty for me promotes openness and empowers me leaving no questions.  Also Perseverance – I never give up and rarely give in.  When a door is shut in my face, I find ways to get it open.  Confidence – I have confidence today in my abilities and the person that I am.  Last but not least….HARD WORK – Focus and desire to me are key to getting ahead, “being in the arena”
